Metodologia

What this site is. Family Office AI is an educational reference on family offices: what they are, the forms they take, what they cost, how they are staffed and governed, and how one is built. It is deliberately plain-English, US-centric with international notes, and research-only.

How guides are produced. Each guide is drafted against a fixed editorial brief (scope, required sections, terminology rules) derived from the site's master specification, with AI-assisted research and writing, then held to these standing rules: no invented statistics; no named-organization claims beyond what appears in the curated directory; every dollar figure is a rounded range explicitly labeled illustrative; jargon is defined at first use and linked to the glossary; and no recommendation language ("you should buy/sell/choose"). Guides carry their last-updated date.

How the tools compute. The Builder, the Cost Estimator, and the Maturity Model are deterministic: fixed scoring tables and rounded illustrative cost bands, computed server-side (the same logic backs the public API). They store nothing you enter and always produce the same output for the same input. They are teaching aids, not calculators of real quotes or advice.

How news is selected. The news section aggregates public RSS feeds from named mainstream publishers, filtered toward wealth-management and family-office relevance. We display headline, the feed's own summary, source name, and timestamp, and always link out to the original article. We never write, rewrite, or paraphrase news, and never show placeholder items: if feeds return nothing, the section says so.

How the directory and resources are maintained. Entries are hand-curated real organizations and works, described conservatively. An automated link checker verifies every website periodically; entries whose links fail are hidden until fixed. Inclusion is free and unranked; corrections are welcome via Contact.

Refresh cadence. News refreshes several times daily; link checks run weekly; guides are revised as the editorial calendar or corrections require.
